Staffed with nearly 10,000 employees, the company has a group of highly-skilled technical and managerial personnel including 113 professor-class senior engineers and 668 senior engineers. Over 180 personnel have working and training experience in European, American or Japanese companies for two years or more. Over 652 employees obtained doctorates or master’s degrees (incl. double-bachelor’s degrees). More than 236 employees are project management personnel who are certified and experienced experts competent for project management. With years of development, the manpower structure of the company successfully achieved several transformations, that is, from single design personnel to multi-function personnel covering the whole process of construction projects, from the single discipline technical personnel structure to a “T”-shape personnel structure consisting of discipline personnel + composite personnel, from the single level discipline personnel structure to a multi-level personnel structure featuring segregation of the core-level from the co-operative level and of the technical level from the operating level.

Among HQC’s talented workforce, one enjoys the title of National Design Masters, 64 experts enjoy government special allowances, 2 experts were awarded the national-level fame of being the young and middle-aged technical experts whose contribution to the nation are outstanding. There are a number of personnel who are also professors teaching doctor graduate students in Beijing University of Chemical Technology and Tstinghua University. In addition, there are more than 1,270 personnel that are certified project management professionals (PMP), certified constructors, and certified structural engineers. There are  over 1,000 operators with welding certificates, NDT certificates, test certificate, and special operation certificate.
