In the field of coal chemical industry, HQC has a strong capability in project consulting, design, and EPC. The representative projects in this field are Ninh Binh Coal Based Fertilizer Project, Hualian Sanxin PTA Project Phase II, BP Zhuhai PTA Phase II Project, and Shandong Dezhou Fertilizer Project.

The undergoing Ninh Binh Coal Based Fertilizer project is the largest project in the amount of the individual work done by Chinese companies in Vietnam. HQC also contracted EP tasks for Shenhua Ningxia Coal Group 180 million t/y Methanol Plant and MTP (Methanol to propylene) Unit which is the world's largest single set in size, and provided the basic design service and EP service for coal gasification plant in the 180 million t/y Methanol Composing Project.
