HQC has undertaken large-scale and integrated complex projects for more than 50 years. Its ability to build environment-friendly, high-quality projects has been improved greatly. HQC has successfully carried out consultation, design, construction and EPC assignments of over 2,000 large and medium-sized projects for both domestic and international clients. Its business covers 30 provinces, cities and autonomous regions throughout the country. Up to now, the gross capacity of the ethylene projects, polypropylene projects and Ethylene Oxide/ Ethylene Glycol projects that HQC has participated in accounts for over 50%, 60% and 80%of the total domestic capacity respectively. This has formed forming a business network covering the Circum-Bohai Bay, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta and nearly 20 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, West Europe, America and Middle East. HQC not only enjoys a high international level and projects accomplishment rate in the domestic industry, but also takes the lead to open up high-end refining-chemical engineering markets in Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Canada, and Italy.

Among the 2,000-plus large and medium-scale engineering and EPC projects undertaken,  most represent  23 oil refinery units, 12 ethylene units, 19 polypropylene units, 12 ethylene oxide/ ethylene glycol units, 28 chemical fertilizer units, 14 LNG/LPG units, 7 polyethylene units, 7 butadiene units, 36 storage tank farms, 9 PVC/VCM units, 2 styrene units, 3 polystyrene units, 8 chemical fibre plants, and 9 pharmaceutical plants.
