Till Aug 17, the 800,000 TPA ethylene unit of Lanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. Changqing Ethane-To-Ethylene Project has run for a half month, operating data being stable. This demonstrates that the China’s first ethane-to-ethylene technology with proprietary intellectual property rights is applied successfully.
As developer of the technology, HQC person in charge says, the Project Task Team overcame numerous difficulties, broke down technological barriers, and focused on green and low carbon, to have developed this ethane-to-ethylene technology of our own, which is already applied in Lanzhou Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and Changqing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and is going to contribute greatly to the development of China’s petrochemical industry.
The Changqing Ethane-To-Ethylene Project’s operating data further illustrate, that propelled by HQC proprietary technology, the headaches of high energy & material consumption and low ethylene yield that a conventional ethylene production suffers from are cured. The overall ethylene yield increases up to 80% from the conventional 40%, and the overall energy consumption drops to 398.7 KGEO/T which is world advanced and far lower than the 500 to 600 KGEO/T a conventional domestic ethylene unit experiences.
